The CAT 3.8 2D driver seems to break any hardware acceleration in Continuum.
What I mean is: CAT 3.7's = 100fps. CAT 3.8's = 10fps. Also.. Continuum
gives you the option to run 'software emulation' in the advanced options.
Enabling this will give you better performance than CAT 3.8's and
acceleration will. Can we say "Hardware Decelerator"? ... Thought that the
S3 ViRGE was the last one of those.... SOOoooo...
I figure a workaround for this is to have Continuum point to the 2D driver
from the CAT 3.7's. Problem is, I don't know which file it is or how to
uncompress it from .dl_ to .dll . Can anyone offer any insight?
