I have been working with computers and purchasing technology products for 20 years.

It is fair to say no company has in my experience less to offer its customers. Their attitude to customer service is quite simply terrible!

I think the basic problem is nothing happened! I ordered a CPU at Christmas which was shown as in stock on the web site. Two days later the CPU was shown as out of stock and I was told in could be up to 21 days for delivery. I modified the order to a different CPU speed that was in stock and received confirmation of that order. To date I have not received the order and two weeks ago I was told if they could not track the order and would send a new one the next day. The replacement CPU has not arrived and they do not respond to my emails I have asked them most days for the last two weeks for either a confirmed delivery date or a refund but only get an automated response. There is no telephone number on the web site, only a fax which they do not respond to and no postal address is listed. There are no details of company ownership or directorships. The only why to make a complaint is by emailing (e-mail address removed) which they do not reply too!

They are either going out of business or their customer support is the worst I have experienced with the possible exception of BT Business Services

I have been waiting to build a silent media centre based around a 3.2ghz P4 which was supposed to be a family Christmas present (well for me really but I had to sell the idea to the wife) and have over £1000 worth of kit sitting waiting for a CPU. I paid for special delivery of a dual tunner DVB card which is sitting getting old as are all the other componets which of course I can not test, if there is a problem with any of these they are now more than 30 days old so I can not claim them to be DOE so I just hope when I finally get a CPU it will all work. So that is my unhappy tale!

Trading Standards are good as are some consumer pages in computer mags.
Good luck and post anymore info so we all get to see how things go.

I have got my system running, the problem was with a badly designed PSU. One of the screw holes used to fix the PSU to the case directly lined up with the PSU's PCB, as the screw was turned it put pressure on the PCB causing it to flex (a tiny amount). The movement was enough to cause a power fluctuation too the MoBo. I stripped the system back down to component level powered it up on the bench and then rebuilt it out out the case. All went well, the OS install without problem but when the components were put back in the case the system failed to boot after much puzzling I noticed the problem with the position of the PSU's PCB and put two washers on the offending screw and the PC booted. Haly****in-lueier.

I purchased an alternative CPU from a different company but am still waiting for a refund from CaseTech despite being told it has been refunded three times it has not. I have have contacted my credit card company who are taking it up on my behalf and I am confident they will reclaim the funds.

Thanks for your support
