Everyone was so helpful with my last problem, I am hoping for a little more
help. I have a Kingwin K11 Black Aluminum Case With Clear Side, Front USB
and FireWire that has a fan on the clear side. No matter what power supply
cable I plug it into, it just won't work. Any ideas? The power supply is
350watts and I just have a HD, floppy, CR RW and the front case fans plugged
in.
Also, the power light just won't come on. The hard drive activity light
comes on, the power and reset buttons work, but no matter how I try to
configure the plugs, it won't light up.
I think these are my last 2 problems with this build. (I Hope!) Thanks for
the help in advance.

It sounds to me like your case has a defective fan and a defective LED for
power. USUALLY, if an LED won't light up, that means that you reversed the
plug when you connected it to the mainboard. If you've tried it both ways,
then the LED is probably toast. Not a big deal. You could use it like that
forever, if you want. Case fans are so cheap I'd probably just order a new
one. Maybe even get one off of ebay. Assuming the case fan on the side of
your case is 80mm run a search on ebay for LED case fan 80mm. Right now,
they've got case fans at "buy it now" 99 cents. Watch shipping charges
though, don't pay more than $5. -Dave

Thanks, I'll check it out.

It sounds to me like the logic between the power on/off button and the power
supply is not working. What's supposed to happen is you poke the button and
it sets a flop that drives the "turn yourself on" input to the power supply.
Note: this logic runs on power from a little +5 supply that never goes off.
You can check the voltages on the main ATX connector on the MB to see that
there is a live power supply. You can fake the switch logic by grounding
the turn-on input to the power supply by jumpering the green wire (4th from
one end) to the black ground wire (3rd from the same end). Check for the
ATX power supply spec on www.intel.com .

Yes, very technical. But what does it have to do with the power LED not
working? The rest of the PC presumably working as the o/p stated that the
drive LED etc are working.
And as he has already tried the power LED header both ways round either the
power LED is dead or there is no power to it from the mobo. Either way, the
easiest way would be to try another LED. He could try the HDD LED connector
on the mobo power LED header just to see if it works.
