I have recently started monitoring the temps in my case and of my cpu and i
was wondering if a 41 degree case and a 33 degree cpu temp are good... i
think they are a bit hight but i have a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ OCed to 2700+
my core voltage is 1.825 but this is needed for a stable rig.. any
suggestions on how i could get these temps down?

Water cooling maybe? Those temps aren't bad at all espcially since you are
running a rig that is OC'ed with increased core voltage.

temps look fine to me...
mine reach upto to 60 degrees - Duron 1.1 (not O/C)

So 33 is brilliant

Are you sure about those temperatures? It seems unlikely that the CPU is
cooler that the case -- it is usually the other way round. Also, a lot
depends on what the computer is doing when you check the temperatures since
under a saturation load the CPU will get much hotter than under an idle
load. Even with automatic fan speed control my P4 CPU temperature varies
15-degrees C (42-57-degrees C) between idle and heavy loads but the CPU is
never cooler than the case.

No MBM5 says that those are right. unless the sensors are mixed up. but
thanks for all the feed back. I have 4 fans in the damned case.. 3 out. and
my heatsink fan which is a coolermaster. hs variable speeds and i always
have it on the highest but thanks for the feed back

Ahh the sensors were mixed up CPU is 57 C when idle.

57°C when idle is *WAY* too warm! It could rise another 15-20° under load
and that would *REALLY* be pushing it!

you don't need to get the temps down. they are fine.

my non-oc'ed 1800 runs 35-40 degrees.

heh, that changes things a bit. you'll be rma'ing that cpu pretty soon
unless you get the temps down.

declock the thing or spend 80 bucks for a barton.

I just ran CPU Burn-In v1.1 for 20 min.. Case temp was 36 C and CPU peaked
at 61 C.. little bit warm.. I think I may start running case less.

It'd be easier to just replace the heatsink or drop the CPU vcore
down to around 1.75V then go for max o'c you can get at that
voltage.
