SpyHunter is being questioned at Spywareinfo.com - is spyhunter a scam? It's
been linked to Evidence Eliminator, which is called scum in the spywareinfo
newsletter. More info here on Evidence Eliminator and how it earned it's
reputation.

Unfortunately, the link that's given is broken. :-(

However, I found this:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/archives/0604/2.php
The company behind Spyhunter, EnigmaSoftware Group, has sent a cease and
desist letter to at least one site because of negative comments about their
software. Netrn.net, home of the Spyware Warrior blog, was the recipient of
the letter. The operator of the site fired back, on the advice of an
attorney, with a demand for examples of every single statement to which
EnigmaSoftware objected, its internet address and proof that the statement
was incorrect. To my knowledge there has been no response.

Respectfully,

Bob Vanderveen

Thank you Bob for the heads up.

Perhaps you could tell you a bit more about your problem. I'm having little
success finding anything about casalemedia spyware.

What efforts have you made removing it?
Where did the name "casalemedia" appear?

I suspect you have some other infection that we'll have to identify that
downloads ads from casalemedia.

Please download AdAware SE:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
Update the definitions and run in safe mode. Please post the results here.

All I can find about casalemedia is that it's an ad server and places
cookies on your computer. MSAS beta1 doesn't address tracking cookies, but
AdAwareSE will handle those for you.
Here are 3 links discussing casalemedia:

I would suggest you block tracking sites such as casalemedia by using a host
file.

The above statements in no way are meant to imply that your system is free
of spyware, but we need more information to make that determination.
