Carr Return forces capitalized 1st char., why?

When authoring a new email message in 2003, the next line
1st char is capitalized when i hit enter.
How do I shut this feature off?
 
Are you using Word or Outlook as the e-mail editor?

Tools>Options>Spelling>AutoCorrect Options. Uncheck "Capitalize first
letter of sentences"
