Cards w/HD power socket use what voltage?

Those cards that need a HD power connector suck what voltage, 12v or 5v?

HDD power sockets supply both, normally the HDD motor is 12 Volts while the
circuitry runs from the 5 Volt feed - where are you going with this
question?

Trying to determine if my Antec 300w SL300S will run a 9800 Pro along with a
2400 xp mobile at 1.65v, 13x166.

5v + 3.3v = 220w
5V + 3.3V +12V = 280W
5v = 30A
12v = 15A
3.3v = 20A

According to ATIs Getting Started installation FAQ here:
http://mirror.ati.com/support/products/pc/radeon9800/Getting_Started.pdf ,
300 Watts is the MINIMUM PSU required so the answer is it may work - but if
it does, you'll be running right at the limit of the PSUs capabilities. This
is never a good idea because it reduces the PSUs expected lifespan - I'd
plan to buy a new PSU long term if not needed right away. Perhaps someone
with the same/similar setup may be able to recall their experience with
this.
