card reader and writer?

Please excuse a newbies question but I just got a Panasonic
plasma tv with a sd card slot for inputting pics. My camera
uses compact flash cards. Is it possible to write to a sd card
after downloading from a compact flash card? Do all the
readers only download and not upload? Any help will be
appreciated.

All PC readers both read and write.

No problem. You can get a multi-format reader that goes into a 3.5" slot in
the computer. Some versions include a floppy drive. All are read/write.
