Hi,
If anybody knows how may I enter phone card file (format
of cardfile.exe) what I'd began in Win3.11 and only added
new info during last ~8 years into Win2k?

As I think it was some utility between win3.11 & win95,
but I cannot find it.

Thanks in advance,
Igor.

You can probably run cardfile.exe in Windows 2000 although
I would not recommend it as it is no longer a supported
application.

To locate a translation tool from cardfile.exe to an equivalent
Win9x application, you should post this item in a Windows 98
newsgroup.

Many years ago I wrote a translation tool myself. It generates
a tab-delimited file. If you think you can handle it then you're
welcome to it.

Having trouble understanding just what the question is? Why don't you
use cardfile.exe? If you want to "see" the format of the data file, use
a hex editor. If you want to make your own "cardfile.exe" pick a
programing language and go for it.

Cardfile hasn't been included in Windows since Win 3.1 as
far as I know. However, it is a handy tool. Users on the
network here still keep some info in it.

We run cardfile.exe from the file server, and create
shortcuts to it on the Desktop. Runs fine in our Win 2000
environment.

Why not get rid of it and use shared contacts in Exchange or similar?
