Capturing video from a VCR

Hello, when I try to capture video from my vcr, I can see and hear it just fine. When I go to play it back, there's no sound, just video. Help!

Double check the audio control panel - anything muted on either record or
playback?
I'm just wondering if, perhaps, you might have some pass through thing going
on, but the line in might be muted?
What about other pre-recorded stuff - can you here that when it's played
back?
What about if you export (save as wmv) the movie and then play it -
anything?

I've tried every combination of line in, aux, etc. Everything seems to be fine, but for some reason, the audio wont record. It records fine in Sound Recorder and Power Producer. I just cant figure it out.
