I have a JVC GR-DVM50 video camera and windows movie maker is not recognizing
it. I have it hook up the way the camera instructions show, using the 9pin
into my computer and the pc plug in, into the docking station for the camera.
Does anyone know if this is the correct way and what I might do to get it to
work??

The nine pin connection is a mystery? It's neither S-Video nor USB?
I suspect you have failed to read the JVC's supplied instructions
correctly.
Your JVC is a DV cam and is equipped with DV-in/out via firewire.
Connect via Firewire, switch cam to "playback" or "vcr", power-on and
your PC will instantly recognise your JVC cam.
Open WMM and the Firewire connected JVC cam will be detailed under
capture devices.
