I am having problems capturing images from dvd. I have already burnt my
camcorder film to dvd, but then cannot use the dvd to capture the images
from. I have other dvds from other people and wish to make one full film
using movie maker but cannot capture any of them. I have to go through the
DV camcorder to do it, this is no good when I don't have the DV's to use.

If you have a DVD drive in your computer
and decoding software like PowerDVD or
WinDVD...you can play the DVDs and use
the Capture option.

I'm sure you realize...Movie Maker cannot
play DVDs? However the following articles
may offer some useful ideas:

I thought you could only capture stills via windvd. Is it possible to
capture a whole home video?

You originally stated that you wanted
to capture images. To me that is
stills...maybe you should rewrite your
question and include details of exactly
what you are trying to accomplish.
