Capturing from analogue Video tapes

Using a new GrabBeeX + USB 2.0 AV grabber,the video is captured and the audio
as a mpeg file ,but although I can import it to Movie Maker , I cannot move
it to the story line . The audio transfer Ok but no Picture .Any advice would
be welcomed but keep it simple.
 
Either capture to AVI or convert to AVI
mpeg files don't work well with WMM.

tery helpful ,many thanks . Will digest it all later. I have now captured as
mpeg 1 and thanks to PapaJohn's website for the clue ,they all work fine
now.The conversion to another format has been avoided ( at some cost
presumably?)Thanks again for your interest.
