you will definitely get your best results if you shut down EVERYTHING else
on your PC before importing. close everything in your taskbar, and it's
even a good idea (if you're comfortable with this) to do a cntrl-alt-delete
and close down as many background apps and services as you can. anything
that steals a little CPU time can cause your capture to skid and miss.
| Are you capturing via firewire? How many other applications do you have
| running when you capture? Did you run a disk cleanup and defrag the
| drive(s) just before capture?
