Captures great video but no sound in WMP

I have an ATI 8500 DV for my capture card using Windows Movie Maker. I hear
the talk while it's recording but not when I play it back in WMP. I know my
connections are correct. Any help??

Hello and Yes,

Double Click the small speaker in the System Tray...bottom right and then
options and properties. Make sure that in Play Back that the Wave option is not
muted (very unlikely that it is) and in Recording options make sure that the
recording source is set to the same value as Movie Maker is. If they do not
match Movie Maker will record no audio. If that does not reveal a problem do
let us know.
