I have a brand new Sony DV recorder w/digital tape.
Default frames per second recording: 29.970.
OS: XP SP2 prof.
Movie Maker only offers 30 frames per second.
When capturing video at "Best quality" default setting (WMV, 512 kbps,
320x240, 30 frames/sec) the quality is the worst imaginable --> distortions
all over, blurry, foggy, no detail, softened edges etc - really bad!
When using top quality settings under "Other settings" (Video for local
playback, 2.1 Mbps, 640x480, 30 frames per second) the quality doesn't get
any better. It's the same bad picture.
Even though it takes about 14MB per minute!
When I connect my DV to the TV-set the picture quality equals HDTV.
All I want is to record my DV 1:1 as I see it on my tiny Sony DV LCD screen
(even 320x240 size).
Can anyone help?
