Capture problems

When caprturing vidoe from my DV camera, the preview screen is distorted or absent aswell as the captured footage, sometimes a flashing green and black sceen, sometime jerky two pictures playing at once, I have worked it before and it was fine. On pinnacle8 the footage is also fine. Can anyone help

Are you sure you camera model is accurate in the encoder
settings. Also try using a different firewire cable.
