Just wondering...are you downloading
via your IEEE 1394 FireWire connection?

I'm using a USB. I've also updated my video driver (this improved the
quality a little). I asked the Dell techs whether I should get a FireWire
connection and they said the USB shouldn't matter? I seem to have the
required free disk space. In fact after updating my video driver (yesterday)
the quality of video in my preview screen was noticably better but when I
started to record it seemed to work a little harder and produce those small
freezez every 15 seconds or so.

I read in the help section that if I can turn off the preview screen when
capturing that this would help, but alas, my wizard didn't show that option.
