capture PAL format from miniDV camera

Hi,
I am able to capture NTSC video easily using windows movie maker.
But when I try to use this to capture video stored in PAL format mini DV,
I get messed up video.
I changed Tools->Options->Advanced-Video format to PAL, but when the
capture wizard starts up, and I go to the 'video settings' screen , and
'other settings', I see many (NTSC) formats, but none to capture 'PAL' format.
Am I missing something?do I need to install some driver to enable PAL format
capture?
