I used Windows Movie Maker 2.1 to record a live tv program using the Capture
Wizard. At the end of the process, the program hung while creating the .wmv
file. Now all I have is an 8 Mb .wmv file and a 1.9 Gb .tmp file. I
understand that this is the capture buffer file and I cannot find a way to
recover it. I tried renaming a copy of it to .wmv .mpg and .avi with no
luck. There must be some way to recover this file, any suggestions are
welcome.
