Seems to me I used a imaging editing program before that allowed me to add a
caption below the image (not imbedded in the image) and it stayed with pic
in an email also.

Does anyone know of a free pgrm that allows this?

Tks all

I use XP Serv P2, FireFox, IE 6.0 Picassa, Irfanview.......

No.
Simply, you cannot write a caption outside the picture and e-mail it and
expect a caption below the picture.
You can use the file name as a caption when using Irfanview or Faststone
(and probably other software) in the slide show mode but this is not a "true
caption" and will not be forwarded in e-mail.
But if you did so, and you find the way to do it again, please post because
this has been asked very often.

ok, where shall I post the pic then?

You do not need to post the pic.
You simply need to write how you do it, then interested readers will take it
from there.
