Captions in XP Windows Explorer

Can someone point me in the right direction or provide a solution?

For an unknown reason, while in Thumbnail view the captions on everything in
my Windows Explorer folder have disappeared. The captions are still there
when I switch views (tiles, icons, list, details = the captions are all
there).

In all the subfolders all the captions are also still there when in
Thumbnail view.

I'm running Windows XP (Home) with SP-2 installed. Up until earlier today
it was running just fine and I turn on the computer earlier this afternoon
and no captions. What's up with that!

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi Jim,

The Shift key toggles file names on and off in Thumbnails view. When you
open Windows Explorer, go to View and ensure that it's set to something
other than Thumbnails, then go to View again, and hold down the Shift key as
you select Thumbnails.

Thank you, Patti. I followed your directions and...viola!....my captions are
back.

Thank you again! I don't know howmuch you are getting paid at whatever it
is you do, but it's not enough! :)
