Caps

I have a laptop (HP Pavilion DV 2222ez) which, periodically, when using Word
XP switches to all caps. The shift key and the caps lock keys do not correct
this problem. The only way to fix this is to shut down and re-start.

I am using Windows XP Home and Microsoft Office XP (Word).

Any help would be appreciated.

This might be due to a keyboard malfunction. Pressing the following
six keys one after the other will probably fix it: Left Shift, Ctrl, Alt,
Right Shift, Ctrl, Alt.

It's a hardware problem.
