I have purchased an Epson 825. After about 55 photos of 4x6, the color
apparently has already run out. I've read that this model costs about $1 per
8x10 page. To me that would seem that this model, with the cartridge costing
about $19 and 100 sheets of 4x6 paper costing $16, that would mean I should
get about 115 4x6s, not 50. (How I figure that--$19 for the color ink + $16
for the paper = $53. There are about 3.3 4x6s for every 8x10 area-sized. $1
for every 8x10 times $53 spent x the 3.3 factor would equal 115 photos 4x6
sized.
Yet I only get 55 of them. If my math is right, that works out to about $.47
per 4x6! That seems not even close to $1 for an 8x10. (I used 1/2 the pack
of 50 sheets, so that's $8 for the paper plus $18 for the ink = $26 for 55
photos.
Am I close, or am I asking too much here?
