Can'ts send documents at attachments...

After a reinstall of Office 2000 I am no longer able to send Word docutments or PowerPoint presentations as attachments, but must insert them into a message. In a previous thread it was suggested that I delete the Outlook address books from tools; however, I only found one directory named "Contacts." I would appreciate more suggestions. Thanks
 
Are you creating a new message and using the attachment button/menu item to
attach the files? What errors do you get?

I can't think that the address book would have anything to do with this,
myself.
 
I am either in Word or PowerPoint and am trying to send the file as an attachment from the drop-down menu. Sometimes I get a MAPI failure error message.
 
Hmmm - and you're using all Office 2000 apps, right - no different versions
anywhere?

Try a detect & repair in Outlook.... help menu.
