Trying to copy photos to a cd (have tried many
applications but am mainly trying form the My Pictures
files)... my windows xp asks for me to insert a disc
(which is already in there!) and then pops up a window
with D:/ is invalid with a big red x.
I am able to copy music within the Window's Media
Player.. but when I try and copy a file to the D:/ from
My Computer(drag and drop).. it won't let me then
either.. same message pops up.

Anyideas??

thanks

Jacinta

No I haven't.. but I've spoken to Microsoft and they have
no idea and gave me an email address to ask... I'll let
you know if I do.. I'll post it here.. you'll do the same
I presume.

I did it! I found a way to record..

TO SET UP FOR RECORDING:
My computer, right click on your CD/R drive (D:/ for
me) ..select properties, go to the RECORDING tab and tick
the "Enable CD Recording on this Drive".then fill in the
rest of the box..then APPLY.. and it will now work.

TO RECORD:
Go to My computer, find the folder/file you want copied,
hold down SHIFT and double click on the folder. A popup
window appears .. drag your file to the CD/R drive you
use then the Copying window appears,... if you have any
hidden files it will ask do you want to continue.. click
yes.

Then a 'speech window' appears and says you have files
waiting to be written, select this window and click the
file/folder you want copied, then on the left
select "write these files to CD".. and the CD writing
Wizard will start up.. you can follow from there.

Many thanks

Jacinta
