I'm pretty new at this. I got my pictures transfered to my PC, but I can't
do anything with them. Can't enlarge them, print them, or copy/move them to
photo software.
Did I get them in the wrong file format? Part of them are not on my camera
anymore. I downloaded some software that was recomended several times on
this forum that you can change the file format, but I can't figure out how to
do that either.

What is the file format of these images? If not sure, use Folder Options>
View and uncheck the box to hide known extensions. Then go back and look at
the file's name. It should now show a dot and three letters after the name.
Example: This Picture should now show something similar to This Picture.bmp

If you can post back with that extension, someone may recognize it and will
be able to tell you what program(s) are capable of editing that image
format.

Hi !

Most of the camera picture format are defined in the most common format
known as JPEG. It is the most widely and commonly used format.

Now you need certain softwares to enlarge them. And to open them in a
particular, just follow the procedure :

open the picture folder
open the required software
left click on the picture , now keep the left click pressed and drag it to
the software window.

This should solve your problem.
