can't visit websites using the address bar?!

ok this happened about 2 days ago, when i openen IE6.0 i
went to all my favorites first, that worked fine. I then
proceded to type in www.google.com in the address bar, i
then pressed enter, nothing happened, i then pressed the
go button, also nothing happens. This happenens no matter
what URL i do, the little loading bar at the botton right
of the screen does not even show up. thank you for any
help.

Try to get to the site with http://www....

If that works then you may have been hacked by some parasites.
