Can't view videos on some sites

Try Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk cleanup and include
the Downloaded Program Files and the Temporary Internet files. That might
uninstall the old version of Flash and then you can install the new version.

I am experiencing the same problem, however to a greater degree! As a
matter of fact, I can not see any of the pictures or icons on this page. I
tried to resolve the problem by following the directions on the Flash web
page by downloading the Flash un-installer, uninstalling the program, and
then reinstalling it fresh. NOTHING CHANGED!

Next, I tried their second method of resolve by follwing their directions to
edit a "flag" in the computer registry that was put there by a pop-up
blocker. I removed the root, re-booted...and still NOTHING CHANGED!

I bought my notebook brand new in February with Windows Vista Home Premium
installed and I have been trying to resolve this problem since day one! It
has taken up a lot of my valuable time trying to get to the root of the
problem. It would be nice if Microsoft offered some "FREE" software support
for their overly hyped "NEW" operating system, but instead we have to resort
to trying to find solutions on our own or PAY someone to resolve the
delimma...after dropping a chunk of change for the computer!

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't work. There is something in Vista
Premium that causes conflict with the latest Flash version 9.0.2.6 (whatever)
designed specifically for Vista. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! I use my
notebook for reviewing and editing video and websites...and I can't really do
the job I'd like if I can't see the animation (flash) on most of the pages I
visit!

H-E-L-P from Microsoft would be WONDERFUL! But I guess I'm only pipe
dreaming!

I have a new computer installed with Vista home premium,My daughter likes to
get on utube and watch some of the little clips there, recently when she
clicks on one, the video wont play and a message comes up saying Java Script
turned off or you have an older version of macromedia's flash player, click
here to get the latest flash player. so I click there and adobe flash player
download page comes up but it says it is already successfully installed, but
the videos still won't work (get the same message every time)
Does anyone know how to correct this problem. (have the same problem on some
other sites as well, but not all)

It's not Microsoft's fault. The maker of Flash player, Adobe, didn't follow
the proper Vista security rules when they wrote the code for their installer.
 
Kerry, I spoke too soon! This did not fix the problem. I have spent six
hours, I kid you not, 6 HOURS, trying to fix the flash problem with IE and
nothing seems to remedy.

So, I'm using Firefox! Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, works! Flash,
Javascript, Active X...all work. However, in the back of my mind...I'm still
pissed because I have a new notebook with the much hyped Vista on it and I
can't use the new tabbed Explorer because it seems there is no solution to
solve a conflict.

I'll keep checking back to see if there are any more suggegstions for me to
try.
