Can't view received faxes

I get an incoming fax, say three pages. I highlight it, click file>print
and it prints all three pages out. If however, I want to view it on the
computer and double click the fax name, all I get in the viewing window is
the cover page, not the next 2 pages. There is nothing to click to have it
go to next page. Very baffled, would greatly appreciate help

Windows XP SP2 using the built in fax module that either came with my
Windows XP or perhaps with the Word Office 2003

Thanks.

What application do you use to view TIF images? Windows XP Fax uses the
Windows Picture and Fax viewer without Office 2003 and Microsoft Office
Document Imaging with Office 2003 installed and both of these viewers have
arrow buttons to allow viewing of multipage faxes.

Hal,
Many thanks. You're on the money. When I clicked on the fax to view it,
some window came up saying it was MSFaxConsoleTempPreview. There were no
options to turn pages to anything beyond the cover page. As a result of
your note, I searched my hd for any tif files and then selected one and
then using "open with" I found I have both Windows Picture and Fax viewer
and also MS Office Document Imaging as choices to view tif files. When I
opt for either of those, I can view the whole fax as you described.

If I reset my file associations so that when clicking on a tif file, MS
Office Doc. Imaging is the default viewer, all is well from within the fax
console. However, can I set the fax program so that when I am looking at
faxes from the fax in box , it will use that program but if I click on a tif
file from an Explorer file listing, my regular picturer viewer (Irfanview)
will be called up? I'd rather not have Office Document Imaging as my
default viewer for ALL tif files e.g photos, just faxes.

Thanks.

Hal:

When we first started using the Fax module on XP, the preview showed up
immediately upon clicking on the chosen fax. The last couple of weeks,
Picture Viewer has us clicking through about five "nexts" before we can
actually view the fax. Similar to when you install new software...but every
time! Any way around it, that you're aware of?
