can't view pictures

normally, the little red X means that the object that IE
is trying to display just isn't there! often happens
when a webmaster [like me] changes the directory of a
file and forgets to move the pix that it points to along
with it... :)
the little multicolor icon in the upper left corner means
that the object isn't being displayed. sometimes that's
a placeholder until the whole object/picture downloads.
if you're on a slow connection and the pic is big, it may
take longer than you're willing to wait.
