can't view pictures

i know that recently there was an issues with microsoft that affected the way
you view photos but i still cant view them with what can i do? i have all the
recent updates but prior to that i downloaded a patch and then removed it
because it still didnt work... please help me!!!!!!

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"
