All of a sudden last week I lost the menu from one
website and a link icon from another. They were visiable
one day and gone the next. Nothing was changed on the
computer. I tired ctrl F5 and clearing temp. files, but
that didn't work (as advised by the sites' tech support).
Any sugguestions? One site is a professional site that I
need on a daily basis. (Those functions work on another
computer in the office so I know it's my computer, not
the site). Thanks for any help.

It's possible that you are seeing the result of Norton Internet Security's
aggressive ad blocking.

When you browse to the pages in question and then look at the source code,
do you see the code for the images there, or is it gone, too?

No source code - I disabled Norton for a second, opened
the sites and still no menu or icon.

No source code? You mean you don't see the images listed in the source
code?

Then it must be your firewall, your antivirus, or your browser that is
removing that code.

Turned of antivirus and the menu loaded - then was able
to turn antivirus back on and was able to keep the menu
as long as I didn't leave the site. Thanks, but do you
know why I had the menu on Thursday last week, not on
Friday - nothing changed w/antivirus between those days.
Same procedure didn't work for icon.
Thanks for your help.

I'll bet it did, but no, I have no idea why you have observed this.

What is a link to the page? I'd like to see if I can see the menu and the
icon.

The menu is on a work-related site that is password
protected, but you can see the icon (maybe) on
www.statelinebgc.org/How you can help/renew or order
magazines. There should be an icon at the bottom of that
page that says: renew or order magazines/click here to

You mean here?

There is no image code there. If I can't see it, nobody can. Are you
seeing it locally?

Good luck. The code is missing from the page completely. That's not a host
problem, unfortunately. It's most likely a file version problem.
