cant view image after download

Hello anybody.
My problem is this. I have windows xp home addition. When
I try to download a image from the web for e.g I right
click on the image that I want to download. I then have 2
options in save as either bitmap or art so I save as bit
map in to my project folder on my desktop. Then when I
try and view the image it raeds can not open this file no
preview available.I-am pulling my hair out. Can any body
tell me how to download and view an image.

Garry: Problem may be that the graphics are compressed.
Check the settings for your internet provider. I use AOL
and they automatically compress graphics. Mag
