First off, let me say that I'm a teacher that has just been put in
charge of the school network in a remote native village. We are
running Windows Server 2000 - Active Directory.
I just added some new computers to our lab. I added them to the
domain using "Network ID" under My Computer-Properties. On those new
computers, I need to add some Domain users to the local Power Users
Group so that they can run certain software (typing programs, etc).
When I go to Computer Management-Local Users and Groups-Power
Users-Add, all that I can see is the local machine, whereas on the
other computers(that I did not set up) I see domain.port.com and I can
add domain users. What am I missing?
I might add that these new machines take a longer time to log on to
domain accounts then the others.
I would appreciate any assistance.
