cant view document

when i try to view or print a document from the internet the document writing
comes out weird the opening application is wordpad, is there any way i can
change the opening application or what should i do
 
What sort of document?
If a .doc file, then it is probably a Word document that cannot be
read by Wordpad.
Read this standard response:

Mswrd832.cnv Error
You are trying to open a document that was created with a late version
of Word.
Wordpad is not a suitable program for opening such files.

The documents cannot be opened with wrod pad is there any way i can change the opening application within the computer so the document can be readable (change from wordpad to another application)

what word processor programs do you have?

Go to Internet options and change deault HTML editor program.
