Can't use Web Folders after OS reinstall

I had some problems with DirectX 9.0 so I reinstalled the OS and ran Windows
Update. Now the web folders in My Network Places aren't working. I can't
create a new one at all and the existing ones report a "documents are not
available" error.

How do I restore this feature?

Jimco has a free add-in called Jimco Open Web that can be used if Web
Folders are not working on your system to allow you to continue using
FrontPage http://www.jimcoaddins.com/addins.aspx

I saw "manual component registration" step at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=287402 and so I tried that
and then I tried downloading the latest MDAC controls from
http://www.microsoft.com/data/ That did not work.

Well I did get it working. I re-checked the url
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=287402 and saw that there
were some additional solutions I had missed.

I found the solution in c:\windows\system32\webfldrs.msi (I'm using Windows
XP Pro.)

Reinstall did not work. Uninstall, then install, did work.
