I've allocated a program to open some of my files. It worked fine for about 2
weeks. Now the association has been lost and I can't allocate it again, the
allocation block, list is full, how can I redo the allocation??

Hi,

Have you tried Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs -> Associate a file
type or protocol with a program ?

Besides, what do you mean by " the allocation block" and "list is full" and
error msg or what ? Could you be more specific ?

I, too, am not clear by what "allocation block, list is full" means. What
is the extension you are trying to associate? You might also want to try
opening the Program, and check out it's Options/Preferences/Properties.
Sometimes the option to make the Program the default application for opening
certain kinds of files (extensions) is in a Program's configuration dialog.

Hi

When you right click on the file and select 'Open With' a screen comes up
saying 'Open With...... Choose the program you want to use to open this file:'
Below are 18 programs I can choose from and below you can click 'Browse'

I use Browse and go to the exe I want to use, I select the program and say
open, It goes back to the 'Open with' and the program is not in the list so I
can't say 'always use...'

Now what??

Try re-registering the program with the Open With dialog, using this program.
