Every time I access a movie on the Internet, a message comes up that says an
error has occured. Also, when I try to download a movie to my own Media
Player, the same message comes up. Does anyone know what is going on? I've
run my virus scan many times and there are no trojans or viruses on my
computer. Can anyone help me?

Hi kydude36 :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups, nor the version of your Media
Player, so I can only take a guess at a solution.

First, try clearing the Temporary Internet Cache -
Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
Note: Any links listed in your Favorites (including any pages you saved for
offline viewing) will not be deleted when the History is cleared normally.
Therefore, you must also check the box next to Delete offline files on the
dialog box as well when you clear the Temp Files to be sure all files are
deleted

If you Media Player 10, try uninstalling it:
Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>click the Show Updates box at the
top
Scroll down to Microsoft Updates and Uninstall it.
This should allow the OS to return to the previous version of MP

also..

Try updating your video driver:

If you don't know the location of your Video driver, or how to find it:
Location for XP

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/learnmore/updatingdrivers.mspx
or......
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q314854
Find the information on your video driver. Then go to the website for mfg.
of the video driver and look for the update to download and install. There
may also be a Update Driver button on the dialog box you can use to go
direct to the update download site.
