Can't Update Records in ADP

I've created an Access Data Project on my development
system, using Access 2002 (in 2002 file format) and MSDE
2000 Release A. When I move it to the intended production
system, I cannot update or add records to the tables
through Access. However, I can update and add by viewing
the tables in Enterprise Manager, so I don't think it's a
security issue. The production system was upgraded from
SQL Server 7.0 to 2000 at the time I loaded the ADP, and
I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the problem.
I also loaded it on another server with MSDE 2000, and it
works fine there. I've created several ADP's and deployed
them on servers, and never had this issue before. Any
ideas?

Thanks,
Robert Gruenloh

Dear Robert,
How are you trying to update records?? directly in
bounded forms, via ado or dao??

I had similar problems to solve afer migration from SQL 7
to 2000. Please give me more information.

Max -
Thanks for responding. I got my issue resolved. When I
sent my MSDE 2000 database to the hosting site, I was
unaware that they had SQL 7. They "downgraded" my database
to 7. When I told them that I needed 2000, they upgraded
their SQL, then upgraded my database, which they had
downgraded to 7. I noticed that this had resulted in all
the views being categorized as tables. I asked them to
reload the database that I originally sent them now that
they had 2000 installed. After doing that, it worked
perfectly. Thanks a lot for your interest and willingness
to respond.
Best,
Robert Gruenloh
