I need to remove the multi-pass and add/remove won't work, canon said to ask
Microsoft. Canon said that the file ctree.dll in folder is a system file
and I need to unlink it. How do I remove it (ctree.dll) and what will it do
to my system? I'm running MS xp PRO with all updates...

First, be sure the printer is no longer connected to the system.

Try the following, open Printers and Faxes in Control Panel, select the
printer, right click, select "Delete," when the message appears telling you
there are other files no longer needed, do you wish to delete them as well,
answer yes. When the operation is complete, then try removing the remaining
software using Add/Remove programs.

***It's possible, add/remove will now not find the uninstall information.
If that happens, the printer still disconnected from the system, reinstall
the software then remove it using add/remove. Obviously, if the printer
setup routine is part of the install, that part will fail.
