I recently tried to install photoshop on to my computer. (Running Vista
Ultimate 32 bit) However I got an error message saying that an adobe setup
was still running, I didn't know what was running so I tried restarting my
computer, and tried installing it again, I got the same message. I then
removed anything made by adobe from my start up, once again same message. I
then went to uninstall programs, and looked at the programs list. I saw adobe
photoshop and clicked "uninstall or change" nothing happened. I then saw
another photoshop program called "setup.exe" in my programs list and tried to
uninstall that, once again nothing happened. I then checked my program files,
and found no sign of anything photoshop. I then tried to clear it in my
registry and couldn't even find it. The only thing I can think to do is a
system restore, but that would be a huge pain being that I just built this
computer, and I tried to install photoshop the day I got the thing working,
so I would lose all my programs. Wouldn't I? Please help.

Just run system restore back to the latest point prior to your attempt .
reboot ...then do your installation...
only this time allow it to complete...it may take a while...
but definately DO NOT restart your machine during the middle of an
installation...
or you'll end up with the same problem!
