cant uninstall wmedia player 7.1

I can not seem to uninstall windows media player 7.1 from
a terminal server. I keep getting an error "cannot locate
wmp.inf" whenever a user connects to the server. I am
hoping by uninstalling it, it will fix the problem. But
when I try to uninstall it goes thru like its working but
never removes the application.

Please help.
