Help! I inserted a new column in my workbook and I can only type in two
digits into this column. All the other columns will allow as many digits as
I want to type in. How can I fix this.

Thanks

Highlight the column, go to "Format||Cells" select the 'Number' tab and set
if from there.

ope this helps.

There's definitely no column to the immediate left where this happens also,
because if so then you may have data validation setup that restricts the entry
to a 2 character entry. If you insert a column it will take on the
characteristics of the column to the left of the one you inserted it next to,
including Data Validation.

Try selecting the range and do Data / Validation / Delete and tick all 3 boxes

Thanks all. I tried everything except the validation suggestion - it came
after I fixed the problem by emailing the file to a different computer and
the problem didn't exist anymore. Strange but solved.
