Since having DSL installed, when I am in Outlook, I keep getting a pop-up
status box of the Outlook Send/Receive Progress. I have checked the box to
not show the box when sending and receiving but it refuses to go away and
pops up every minute or so, telling me the status of my e-mails which are
coming and going. No matter how many times I close it, it continues to come
back.

Enable the Status bar at the bottom of Outlook's main window (View>Status
Bar checked) and the progress window should obey the option to not show it.
However, if it's popping up "every minute or two", you have your
send/receive interval set too small. Increase it to no less than ten
minutes. (CTRL-ALT-S)

Hi Brian. Under View, my status bar was already checked. However,
Cont/Alt/S is a neat shortcut! I chose 10 min for send/receive for both
on-line and off-line. This seems to have worked. Thank you!!
