Can't sync Word documents to USB drive

I'm writing a story, and I like to have a copy of my story with me, and
current. To that end, I have this wonderful little USB drive, with more
storage than I'll ever need for Word documents (1G). Problem is, Sync center
won't let me sync it with anything but Windows Media Player, and WMP, while
it can do a great many things, ain't so good at syncing regular files like
Word documents. Anyone got some ideas for me?

I can do that, and that's what I have been doing... Thing is, I udate one or
the other daily, sometimes more than once daily. It'd be handy to be able to
have it do so automatically, and replace one or the other by date changed.
It's not a matter of copying it to the USB drive; I've already done that.
That's cake. It's a matter f getting the USB drive to update without me
having to go in, delete the original, find the doc on my PC, copy it, and
paste it back to the USB drive. Sure, it's the work of perhaps half a
minute, but it's a hassle.

Besides, if I decide to keep a backup of other important files, it'd be nice
to be able to actually use my USB drive for automatic sync. Right now, it
won't let me do anything other than music, since my computer has got this
ridiculous idea into it's little mechanized head that USB drives can only
hold music, videos, and pictures.

When I want to copy a file to a USB drive I either use "Save As" to save it
there, or Explorer to copy it there. Sync manager, or WMDC, aren't
necessary.

You might take a look at SyncToy, it comes with Vista, and can synchronize 2
folders.

Thanks, this looks like it'll work perfect, actually... It's customizable
enough that I can pretty much tell it to do whatever I want.

Don't you hate it when they try to dumb down a program so much that you can
only do a handful of things with it, and only in exactly the circumstances
they thought up in development?

Where do I find sync toy?

Thanks, Dave. Looks like this will do it. I wonder why this is not in the
Vista Sync Center?
