Can't switch off Messenger Service.

I stopped the messenger service to prevent the annoying pop up ads,
but each time I restart the computer it is switched back on again.
How do I switch it off?

when your messenger is open click tools>options>general
tab>then choose your startup preference from the menu.
 
Select Start | Run | type: services.msc | ok button | double click on
Messenger. Stop the service and then set the dropdown to disabled.
