I am signed into the discussion (I know because the icon now says "Sign
Out"). When I click New and Question, I get an error sound. I can submit a
New Suggestion. I submitted a new question a couple of days ago just fine.
What am I doing wrong?

What you're doing "wrong" is thinking that the web interface is a good way
to ask a question. Try a real newsreader. It's much more flexible.

Brian: You are correct. Especially since I can submit a question if I am
using Firefox. I only get the error in IE7. Of course, I also get other web
errors in IE7. I guess it may be time to change browsers.

I'm saying don't use a browser at all. Use a newsreader.

Is there a simple enough instruction about "newsreaders"? I'm not familiar
with this and I, too, am not able to Sign-In or Reply to a particular
discussion thread.
thank you.

Thank you Gordon for the info. I wouldn't have known this because I do not
use Outlook. (use AOL email program. don't laugh.)

I'll keep fiddling around with the system. For now I log-in from the general
page.

Outlook Express is a part of windows so it is on your computer irrespective of what browser you use.
