Try setting your computer to boot from the hard drive first in the BIOS.

Tell us about your drive geometry. How many drives do you have installed?
What interface are they? Which drive did you install Vista to? Any other
pertinent info that you think we may need to trouble shoot your problem. We
can't see your computer - you can.

I have two 160gb Hitachi Sata drives raided and have installed Vista to these.

My dvd drives are a Plextor PX-755A and a NEC AD-5170A. I installed from my
Plextor drive which is set as my master.

This has worked for many. Physically disconnect any hard drive that you do
not want Vista to touch. Sometimes the Vista installer will write boot code
to another drive. If none other are connected, everything will be written to
the correct drive.

After the install has successfully brought you to the Vista desktop, shut
down the computer and reconnect the extra drives.

This is turning out to be a huge problem. Many are complaining about this
condition.

If you have the same conditions - yes.
