can't start windows

I cannot get into xp. I can't start in any of the modes
given. I always get the same error message: stop 0x000007E.
I don't konw how to fix this. I have not recently upgraded
my version of windows. I have recently installed alcohol
120% though. someonw please help.

That's not very helpful.. i've had the exact same problem.

Press F8 whilst booting, select 'safe mode'.

during the startup it will display a list of drivers it's loading..
at the end it will say something like ' Press ESC to skip the xmasbus
' which is the Virtual CD rom driver that comes with Alcohol 120%....
Press ESC.

It will allow you to boot up in safe mode..

run regedit and delete the following keys... (remembered to the best
of my ability)

HK_LocalMachine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\xmasbus

and

HK_LocalMachine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\xmasscsi

(they were the last two in that list on my machine)

then restart the computer.. and it should be fine.. mine was.
